This Lent, we as a church will enter into a focused season of seeking God through prayer, worship & fasting.

ASH WEDNESDAY — EASTER

First Seek is a season designed to recalibrate our hearts and refocus our lives on God - seeking first God's presence. Throughout the Scriptures and Church history, one truth echoes again and again: God comes where He’s wanted.  The church has always been at its best, when it seeks Him in humble, desperate, passionate prayer - making room for the Holy Spirit. 

Lent gives us a shared, historic container for prayer, fasting, and renewal. We don’t rush to resurrection power without first passing through the wilderness.

First Seek

First Seek exists to re‑center our church around intimacy with God before activity for God.

Through prayer and fasting, we are seeking:

  • Deeper, more honest intimacy with Jesus

  • Renewed spiritual authority rooted in dependence

  • Increased capacity for a coming season of harvest

  • Kingdom breakthrough in Providence

  • Personal and corporate alignment with God’s purposes

This is a season to slow down, make space, and seek God - trusting that our obedience here will lead to fruitfulness.

Fasting Rhythms for Lent

BASE PRACTICE

Fast a meal every Wednesday.

Skip lunch and join us to pray on Zoom.

stretch practice

Fast 24 hours on Wednesdays
(from Tuesday dinner to Wednesday dinner).

Join the Zoom prayer and, if you are able, come pray in person at the Heart prayer room.

Stretch practice II

Fast from social media, news, or entertainment for 24 hours during your Sabbath.

If fasting from food is not medically wise for you, choose another meaningful fast instead.

  • Sermon Series: Enemies of The Soul

    A Lenten series on prayer, fasting, and intimacy with God

    We’ve always needed God.
    But there are moments when that need becomes impossible to ignore.

    Lent has always been a season of the wilderness. A time to step away from noise, distraction, and substitutes, and make space for intimacy with God. In the wilderness, Scripture tells us, appetite is quieted, identity is clarified, allegiance is purified, and God is no longer crowded out.

    In this series, we’ll follow Jesus into the wilderness and learn how prayer and fasting form the kind of closeness with God that can withstand the deepest pressures of life. Before Jesus confronts the enemies of the soul — the flesh, the world, and the devil — he first consecrates himself, fasts, and learns to live by the voice of the Father.

    This Lent is about creating space for intimacy with God.

    As we practice consecration, fasting, and prayer together, we’ll discover that intimacy with God is not a feeling we chase, but a relationship we make room for — one that reshapes our desires, clarifies our loves, and forms us to live faithfully in a chaotic world.

  • School of Prayer

    A focused Lenten cohort to grow in prayer—how to spend time with God, hear His voice, and see more answered prayer. This is for anyone who wants to grow in their understanding and practice of prayer.

    Foundations is a post-service course designed to help you do more than just learn about your faith. Together, we’ll dig deep into what it means to follow Jesus—understanding it, wrestling with its implications, and learning to live it out in everyday life.

    b) or looking to grow in discipling others, 

    Foundations will equip you with biblical truth, practical tools, and a framework to walk with God and help others do the same.
