New To Jesus?
Welcome to a new beginning
This page is for anyone who just decided to follow Jesus, or knows it's time to. Whether you raised a hand in church, whispered a prayer in your room, or just know something has to change, this is your moment. We are so glad you're here.
First, Tell Us About It
nobody follows Jesus alone
Jesus invites us into a relationship and a community. If you're beginning your journey with Him, we’d love to hear your story and help you take your next step.
Fill out a quick form, and one of our pastors or leaders will reach out to connect by phone, Zoom, or coffee. We’re here to listen, pray, and walk with you.
I’m Ready To Follow Jesus, How Do I Begin?
"If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
– Romans 10:9A relationship with Jesus begins when we say yes to Him.
What are we saying yes to?
A yes to Jesus places us in a larger story - the story of God rescuing the world. If we are going to say yes to Jesus, it’s important to understand this bigger story.
The Gospel: The Story You Were Made For
Part 1: Creation
In the beginning, God created the world and everything in it—including you.
He made humans in His image, designed to live in loving relationship with Him, with each other, and with creation itself. It was all very good—full of peace, purpose, and joy.
But something went wrong.
Part 2: Fall
We decided we wanted to be at the center instead of God. We pushed Him out, choosing control over trust. And that choice—called sin—fractured everything. Our connection to God was broken. Relationships became messy. Even creation itself was affected. The result? Death, despair, and a world filled with pain.
But God didn’t leave us there.
Because of His deep mercy, God came to rescue us— in person.
Part 3: Redemption
Jesus, fully God and fully human, entered the story 2,000 years ago. He taught and demonstrated the way life was meant to be lived—with God at the center. He showed us what love looks like. And then, on the cross, He took on all the sin, evil, and death of the world—and let it kill Him.
But it didn’t end there.
Three days later, Jesus rose from the grave, defeating death and opening the way for a new kind of life. A life of forgiveness, healing, and transformation—life with God again.
Part 4: Restoration
And today, Jesus is alive. He’s reigning as the true King. And He’s inviting you to join Him.
He wants to forgive your sin.
Fill you with His Spirit.
And welcome you into a new life—a life of purpose, peace, and partnership in His mission to renew the world.
SO HERE’S THE QUESTION:
WILL YOU SAY YES?
Great, so how do I actually say yes to Jesus?
the bible says in romans 10:9:
“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
This is where it starts.
It’s not about fancy words—it’s about a real response from your heart–a prayer. Prayer is just talking to God.
Here’s one way to give God our yes. We call it the ABC prayer.
A - ADMIT
“Lord, I admit that I am not God. You are the center of the universe, and I am not.
I’ve sinned—I’ve tried to run life my own way. I admit that I need You. I want a real relationship with You.”
B - BELIEVE
“Jesus, I believe that You are God, that You became human and lived among us.
I believe You died on the cross for my sins so I can be forgiven.
I believe You rose from the dead, and You’re offering me a new life.
I believe You’re coming again to make all things new—and I want to be part of that, starting now.”
C - COMMIT
“So today, I commit all I know of myself to all I know of You.
I surrender my life to You.
As You gave Yourself for me, I give myself to You.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me live the life You made me for.”
Amen.
If you just prayed that prayer…
Welcome to the family.
Seriously—all of heaven is throwing a party right now (Luke 15:10). And we’re celebrating with you.
FIRST STEPS GUIDE
Hey there! If you’ve recently given your life to Jesus — congratulations! This is the best decision you will ever make. Right now, heaven is celebrating you (Luke 15:10), and we are too!
Starting a new journey with Jesus is exciting, but it can also feel a little overwhelming. You might have a lot of questions, or maybe you’re wondering, What’s next?
This guide is here to help you take your first steps so you can grow in your relationship with God. You’re not alone in this—we’re walking with you!
understanding what just happened
Something incredible has happened in your life! You may feel excited, peaceful, emotional, or even a little unsure. That’s totally normal! No matter what your emotions are doing, here’s the truth:
You are forgiven—completely washed clean by Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17).
You are a child of God—welcomed into His family (Ephesians 1:5).
The Holy Spirit lives in you—God Himself is with you, guiding and strengthening you (Ephesians 1:13-14).
This is Good News worth sharing! Think of it like getting engaged or receiving incredible news— you naturally want to tell others. This week, try texting two Christians and two non-Christians to let them know what’s happened.
Idea: Consider letting us help you celebrate your spiritual birthday! Maybe with cupcakes, ice cream, or a small get-together. If you do, why not invite some friends and take a moment to share what God has done in your life!
Growing strong in your faith
A Seed Has Been Planted in You
Jesus said that faith is like a seed — it has the potential to grow into something strong and beautiful (Matthew 13:3-9). But just like a seed needs water, sunlight, and nutrients, your new spiritual life needs the right things to grow and thrive.
Here’s how you can nurture your faith:
a. Scripture: Feeding on God’s Word
The Bible is like spiritual food — it helps you know God and understand His heart.
A great place to start is the Gospel of John — it will help you get to know Jesus personally.
If the Bible feels overwhelming, don’t worry! There are great resources like Bible Project videos to help explain things.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness." – 2 Timothy 3:16
b. Prayer: Learning to Talk with God
Prayer is just an honest conversation with God — there’s no perfect formula!
At first, it may feel a little weird or unfamiliar, but over time, it will become like breathing.
God doesn’t just listen—He also speaks! As you grow, you’ll learn to recognize His voice (John 10:27-28).
Tip: Many people find the ACTS acronym helpful:
A – Adoration: Praise God for who He is.
C – Confession: Be honest about any sins or struggles.
T – Thanksgiving: Thank Him for the good things in your life.
S – Supplication: Ask Him for what you need.

c. Community: Growing Together
You weren’t meant to follow Jesus alone! We grow best in community (Hebrews 10:24-25).
One of the most important steps is finding a mature believer who can walk with you and help you grow. Think of them as a mentor—like training wheels as you learn to ride the bike of faith.
We recommend meeting twice a week for the next three months with someone you trust to read Scripture, pray, and talk about life.
first steps for this week
Start reading the Gospel of John. Read it here
Pray daily — even if it’s just a few minutes.
Text two Christians and two non-Christians to share your decision.
Find a mentor and commit to meeting 2x a week for the next 3 months.
Keep coming to church on Sundays — you’ll grow so much by being around others who love Jesus!
Final encouragement: You’re not alone
Walking with Jesus is a lifelong journey, and every step you take matters. You don’t have to be perfect. You just need to keep showing up and keep saying yes to Jesus.
